Shipping Policy:

What is your "in stock guarantee"?

We stock what we sell, with a few exceptions that are drop shipped by our vendors.  Typical drop ship items include dredges, and there are a couple of storage bag items that we also drop ship.  Usually, drop ship orders placed by 12pm EST ship the same day as a normal order would, they also ship from the same zone so there's no delay.  In the event that a product is sold but out of stock, we'll notify you of the delay and offer a direct substitution or upgrade.  If your order is delayed because of a stock issue, we will include a $10 gift card to use on a future order.

Pre-orders are exempt from the "in stock guarantee" as the lead time is communicated prior to purchase.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is $7.99 up to $68.99 in ordered product and free for orders $69+. We typically reach anywhere in the US in 3 business days.  International shipping is available, please email us at help@thetackleroom.com for more information or a shipping quote.

How long does it take to ship my order after I place it?

In-stock orders received by noon ship the same business day. If there’s an inventory issue (not common, but things happen occasionally) we’ll notify you ASAP. Our policy is to either expedite or upgrade orders with stock issues.

I changed my mind after ordering a custom rod, are there returns?

There are no returns on custom rods. We have them made by a local company, and due to the custom nature of the product, we cannot return them. We will, however, work with you to make whatever changes you need, within reason.

When will my order get to me? I have fishing plans this weekend.

We ship our orders via USPS Priority, UPS, and USPS Ground Advantage. This means most of the country is covered in 2-4 business days, with the Northwest and West Coast being 3-5 business days.  All orders to Alaska, Hawaii, APO boxes, protectorates and territories ship via USPS.

Where are you located?  Can I come and walk around the store?

Our office location is in Black Mountain, NC. Our warehouse is not open to the public.

Sales Tax on Purchases:

The Tackle Room is located in Buncombe County, North Carolina.  We collect applicable North Carolina state and regional sales tax on items sold within the state.  International orders may be subject to duties and customs fees, which are the responsibility of the customer.

Tackle Room ships to many locations both foreign and domestic.  We utilize the United States Post Office and other common commercial carriers in interstate and foreign commerce.  Our company is governed and complies with the laws of the State of North Carolina, and The United States.

We are not aware of tax laws levied by jurisdictions outside of the various political subdivisions in the State of North Carolina for which we are responsible for tax and legal compliance as it relates to products. Our customers, as part of the purchase agreement with our company, agree to be responsible for compliance with any tax laws that exist in their specific location outside of North Carolina or the United States of America. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the customer to pay the amounts due on all sales that require additional duties or taxes to the tax jurisdiction having authority over them.

We will not knowingly ship a product that is illegal in another political subdivision outside of North Carolina in violation of state or federal law. The customer is responsible to determine whether or not the product that they are ordering has any prohibiting restrictions levied by the political subdivision that they reside in.
